Do your churches use software for church management? I've been considering writing some for a couple years, but haven't gotten off the ball. What I've seen (quite a bit) is simply awful. Neither user friendly or esthetically pleasing. As with almost all people who can program I'm arrogant enough to believe I can do better. ;D Would help if someone were helping me in some way so that my natural laziness would be overcome... It would be shareware and of course if there are any sales, and you helped quite a bit, you would share in the extraordinary wealth to be made. It would be Windows only software, though. I program in Delphi and it's not Mac friendly... Sorry. Thanks, Ron

I will see if I can find someone who might be able to assist you. fairbank might be able to give you some brainstorming pointers. I agree that most "church management" software is abysmal, for both Windows and the Macintosh. I fear it reminds me of many things produced by Christians, who seem to equate "cheap" with "spiritual". You know...sort of like the people who believe that giving the church their old computer (of little more use than a door stop) or their old piano (which can no longer keep a good tuning) is a magnanimous gesture. Many people who write these programs are unwilling to work, not only on the functionality of the software, but on the elegance of its user interface (a particular annoyance of mine). You're not alone! I own a subscription to DevExpress' Delphi VCL components so that programs have a sharp, modern and professional look. www.devexpress.com/The links with pictures of the "look and feel" are in the column entitled "VCL Controls in Action"
