God in the Dark, by Os Guinness, addresses a problem with which we are all confronted in our lives, doubt. This book is essentially an updating and repackaging of its predecessor, In Two Minds: The Dilemma of Doubt and How to Resolve It, by the same author. Os Guiness is sometimes an exhausting read, because he eschews the "quick fix" approach, discussing doubt in a depth and from a perspective that makes one believe that he has indeed searched the hidden closets of our minds. His depth of insight will speak to your struggles and give you hope. They did for me. Incidentally, as you may imagine, Os Guinness also lectured at L'Abri. Take a good look at these books. They are of profound help. God bless and comfort you that where our faith is weak, His grace is stronger still. And where our despair is deep, God's love is deeper still. For it is what God knows of us, not what we know of Him, that changes our life through Jesus Christ. Matthew (soulfyre)
