Hello fellow seekers of Christ! My name is Stephen, or, as I am better known on the internet, L4E_WakaMol-King. I'm a Christian and was directed here by Kenny's website. I'm 18 and going to school at Loyola University, New Orleans. I lead a really busy life, and won't have time to be super-active here, but I love a good religious discussion/debate, so I figured I better sign up. Maybe I'll get hooked! Who knows Why, you ask, am I known as L4E_WakaMol-King? Well, that's my screenname on Dinky Bomb, my favorite online game. It's free if anyone wants to try it... great game, and the community that has been built up around the game is truly wonderful. What are my specific Christian beliefs, you ask? (Drum roll...) I'm a Roman Catholic! It seems that this site is predominantly, if not totally, Protestant, so hopefully I will be able to add a new color to things. I love my faith and my Church, and have had the benefit of being pretty well educated in it's teachings. I noticed the position of "resident Catholic" so to speak, was kind of open in the "Roman Catholicism" forum. I do not pretend to be a Doctor of the Church, but if you still need someone, I will do what I can. Would be a good chance for me to grow in my faith. Well, hope that makes for a decent introduction. Feel free to ask any questions you feel to be relevant. God Bless, Stephen

Welcome Stephen! We certainly need someone to represent the Catholic faith on the board. I look forward to your insights into our highly Protestant board. Yours in Christ, Melinda

Greetings, Stephen! Welcome to our board. It is true that at present, we are largely protestant, and many of us have a distinct lean towards Calvinism. We do have one semi-resident Orthodox Christian, and I am currently studying Orthodoxy as a Catechumen/Inquirer. Ron (rgrove), a dear brother in Christ whose input I respect, was nevertheless formerly a Roman Catholic, so while quite familiar with Roman Catholic dogma, he is probably not one to defend the Roman Catholic church. We are happy to have your input. To ease your mind, perhaps, you can look at the long discussion concerning "predestination/election" in the "Saved" forum. KCsr and I have had a long-running discussion, yet I endeavor to be loving in my demeanor, and KCsr appears to do so effortlessly. So we are able to discuss issues that have been known, in the past, to result in bloodshed between those of differing traditions, and do so in charity toward one another, in obedience to the love of God, demonstrated in Jesus Christ, and shed abroad in the hearts of those who believe in Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. So let me assure you that we are not a "bait and catch" forum, but by the grace of the Triune God a Christian convocation. Thank you for your kind offer to assist with the Roman Catholic board. You are most welcome! God bless and keep you, Stephen... Matthew (soulfyre)

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. It is very relaxing and pleasant to be in the presence of other Christians that are both educated and kind-spoken when it comes to discussions that would usually tend to become very heated. Looking forward to learning and growing in unity, -Stephen

Welcome to the forum Stephen. I look forward to interacting with you in time. I don't get here as much as I wish I could, but will do my best if I see something interesting to post. -Ron Ron
