Certainly there is no other person of the Bible that it is more crucial for us to know intimately, but about whom we actually know very little, except for the three years of his ministry. There are still many who attribute such things as "early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" to Jesus (actually written by Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard's Almanac). On this board, I hope we can go beyond the "Sermon on the Mount" (although a source of endless fascination to me), to meet the person to whom we, as Christians, are to be married, and with whom we will spend an eternity--Jesus. God bless and keep you, Matthew (soulfyre)

why did you entitle the thread at the name of Jesus instead of the commonly referred... In the name of Jesus?

Because he is the omnipotent administrator of the site, Tsk, Kenny! Shame on you! Actually, I used "At the name of Jesus..." because I was referring to the verse Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) which states: "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." I find it a majestic summation of the topic of this board. God bless and keep you, Matthew (soulfyre)
