I haven't had a chance to listen to the audio yet, but I saw this link given in a short article on the Baptist Press website. It is a series done by professors at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (which is an SBC seminary). www.mbts.edu/Resources/workshop_davincicode.htmHere's the listing on what the audio sessions cover from the Baptist Press article: 1) Overview: Alan Branch, assistant professor of Christian ethics.
2) The Da Vinci Code and the Council of Nicea: Michael McMullen, associate professor of church history.
3) The Da Vinci Code and the Knights Templar – McMullen.
4) Logical Fallacies in The Da Vinci Code -- Thor Madsen, associate professor of philosophy, ethics and New Testament.
5) The Da Vinci Code and the Gnostic Gospels – Branch.
6) Was Jesus Married? – Branch.
7) The Deity of Christ in the New Testament – Madsen.
8) Ethical Implications of Dan Brown's Worldview, Part 1 and 2: Branch.
9) Sharing Jesus Christ with Our Friends Who Read The Da Vinci Code -- Rodney Harrison, assistant professor of church plantingI'll edit this post when I get a chance to listen to them. I enjoy this topic because I invariably learn a little more about church history when I read on it. Yours In Christ, Ron

This is a book that I really want to read, just to see what all the hub-bub is about. Would you suggest reading the book before listening to this, or listening before reading?

I took a short cut. My wife read it, and told me all about it as she went. ;D I read my first book addressing it's issues before my wife read the actual book and I still got quite a bit out of it. I think I reviewed it in our book reviews section actually. From the things I've read after my wife read it, I can't say that knowing more about the book really made the books and essays easier to read. Your mileage may vary, but if you intend on reading the book anyhow, then it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to read it first and then read some Christian responses to it. Yours In Chrsitm Ron
