General Instructions for this Board

This board has been set up primarily so that registered members may ask about terms commonly used in our discussions. Any registered member may post a question here. For the sake of consistency and clarity, however, I have selected only certain members who can post responses. Much like the game of "Jeopardy" on the television, I ask that original threads posted by those other than the listed moderators of this board be posted in the form of a question, e.g. "What on earth is the hypostatic 'onion' and does it go well on hamburgers?", "What is the 'immaculate conception? Is it just another name for a 'really keen idea'?", etc. Moderators and Administrators may post "definition" threads. If you are not a Moderator or Administrator, you may:

• Submit your definition for consideration in an e-mail or IM. If we like it, we will post it with attribution (and kudos!).
  
• Request that we consider you as a potential Moderator. Tell us about yourself, your background, and your preparatory study. You will note that not everyone listed as an Administrator or Moderator has a seminary or Bible college background. If you are not accepted at first, don't despair. Sometimes we like to see a reliable track record, for we take our responsibility in this forum seriously, that is to present the clear truth of God as set forth in the Scriptures to admonish, correct, exhort and encourage one another.

I ask you to respect this practice, so that we can keep the board open to questions from all our members. If this request is not respected, our first step would be to contact the offending member, and re-issue our request. Our second step would be to remove the offending member's ability to post. We would only change the general posting rights on the board as a last measure.
