I'd like to ask for your prayers for my seven year old nephew, Shane. He is currently having some problems that could be rather serious. My brother Cliff and his wife Julie are in the process of trying to get a diagnosis.
Thank you all in advance,
Your sister in Christ,
Melinda

He has my prayers as well, Melinda! Please keep us posted.
May our Abba Father give wisdom to the physicians so that they might identify and effectively treat Shane's problems; may Jesus Christ, the Great Physician who healed the sick and lame, and raised Lazarus from the dead, surround Shane with his healing grace; and may the Holy Spirit be with and comfort the family, and strengthen them in their faith, hope and love.
In the name of Jesus, Our Savior, Redeemer, and Great High Priest,
Amen!
Matthew (soulfyre)

Shane has been referred to a specialist which is a small amount of progress, but there is still no diagnosis on him. I thank you once again for your prayers for this precious little boy.

Melinda Done and done, Melinda. I prayed to Abba Father as soon as I saw this post, entrusting the specialist and this little child into His hands, and that He would glorify Himself in this. I will continue to look for news as you update us! God bless and keep you, and surround you with His grace and love. Matthew (soulfyre)

I wanted to let you know how Shane is doing. He has been seeing a child psychologist for therapy and a psychiatrist for a diagnosis. There has been some improvement in his behavioral problems, and it will be a couple more weeks before the psychiatrist is able to give a diagnosis.
Thank you so much for your prayers,
Melinda

Good to hear some improvement is evident. Of course I'll pray that God continues to work in the little fellow's life.

There have been further complications with my nephew. On Saturday, he was having difficulty breathing and the doctor found he had a heart murmur with an irregular heart beat. I don't know if all of his problems are related or if they are seperate problems. Either way, it sounds as if things are escalating and that it could get worse before it gets better. It's hard to be so far away from them. (They are in Virginia and I'm in Texas)
Thanks again for your continued prayers, I'll keep you updated as I find out more.
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

Hopefully that's nothing serious. Many people I know have a slightly irregular heart beat (heart murmur) - including both my wife and I.
We have always been told it is nothing to worry about.
