I need to ask for your prayers for my nephew, Brandon. He was riding a motorcycle and someone ran a red light and hit him this afternoon. I would also like to ask your prayers for my sister and brother-in-law as well as for the man or woman who ran the light.
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

First, I want to thank you all for your prayers. Now for the update. So far the news is encouraging; Brandon was wearing a helmet and it stayed on, thank God Missouri has a helmet law, he is also alert and able to speak; so they are not overly concerned about head trauma at this point. They will be giving him a thorough neurological exam after they get through stabilizing the rest of his injuries. There also doesn't seem to be any internal bleeding at this point.
What they do know is that he has a broken arm and toe. He also has another toe that is dislocated as well as a dislocated knee. They are not sure how much damage has been done to the knee or if the ACL has been damaged, I'll know more later.
That is all I know at this point. My sister said she would let us know more in the morning unless something urgent comes up in the night.
Thanks again for your prayers.
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

Sorry I hadn't read this post until now. We shall certainly offer our prayers for everyone involved. Especially for Brandon's recovery. I'm sure this will mean a difficult summer for him. Yours In Christ, Ron

Thanks Ron!
I spoke to my sister earlier today and Brandon seems to be doing well today. They still haven't determined exactly how much damage was done to his knee, so there are still some questions about that. Otherwise, he should heal well with time. I praise God for looking after Brandon because it could have been so much worse, especially if he hadn't been wearing a helmet.
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers for my nephew, Brandon. I spoke to my sister today and though they won't know exactly how much damage was done to his knee until the swelling goes down and they can do an MRI, everything should heal with time. Brandon is at home now and beginning the healing process.
Thank you once again for being there in my time of need,
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

It's good to hear he's home. Always better than being at the hospital even if things aren't necessarily better. I will continue to keep him in my prayers.
Yours In Christ, Ron
