In this thread I hope to learn more about the ancient church established in the British Isles, from the time of St. Colombo to the present. The Anglican Communion has a rich history, though often turbulent, and a beautiful liturgy upon which must Protestant liturgy is based. Although I was confirmed in the Episcopal Church of the United States, my theology alligns with the more conservative of the Anglican Communion, and I, to a large extent, have separated myself from the Episcopal Church in the United States due to its practical rejection of the Bible as the final word on faith and practive. I will be seeking an evangelical Anglican who might wish to moderate this area. God bless and keep you, Matthew (soulfyre)

I'm Baptist, but I have great affection for our many brethren in other denominations. I love reading reprints of books from the great Christians of the past which has brought me into contact with some great Anglicans. I must say what has happened to the Episcopal church in the USA as the Anglican church in England has greatly grieved my heart. I pray that God grants repentance and revival to your denomination so that the genuine Christians still in the body there might once again get solid teaching. I'm afraid only God is capable of this, though, because looking at the current condition of the church (from the outside looking in) I suspect a few godly men aren't going to be enough to undertake such a task.
In Christ, Ron

I just read my post again and I hope it didn't come off as arrogant. Like Baptists don't have a plethora of problems. I was merely trying to empathize with recent issues Episcapalians have been facing. Sometimes things just don't come out right in writing...
