The Bible itself is an interesting topic of discussion. What is it? How did it come about? Who wrote it? What is the "canon"? Why were some books included and others rejected? Why do some texts include "the Apocrypha", and what is "the Apocrypha"? What do we mean when we say the Bible is "inspired"? Should the Bible be taken "literally"? Each of these questions have inspired the writing of many books and were the source of great consternation to legions of seminarians who had to become conversant on these issues. Many lectures have been given, many issues have been discussed, many essay questions have been answered (more or less successfully), and many grades have been given and received (some with great joy, others with no little anguish) concerning thse topics. [This is in the process of development. As I have a couple of projects right now, I will ask you to give me just a little time on this. If you have any initial submissions, please message me first. The board will be locked to new threads for only a short time....I promise.] God bless and keep you all, Matthew (soulfyre)
