my friend recently got in a car accident and she had pretty bad brain damage from what i hear...but she came to church tonight and i got to talk with her for a long time...her speech is a little scatterbrained and her shortterm memory is alittle bad (she kept reminding me that my last name is smith and that she likes chocolate) but she is doing alot better. here's a bulletin i wrote about it on a different forum...
"i saw the car that lisa got in a accident in. let me tell you, there is NOTHING that ANYONE could say to me that would cause me to stop believing in God right now. those photos are incredible. the back wheel was in the front passenger seat. there is nothing...absolutely nothing left of that car...except the driver's area where lisa was sitting. there's no reason why that part of the car should be intact, but it is. the windshield is completely shattered...except right where lisa was...it's perfect, not a scratch on it. the seat she was in is right where it should be. crap, even the driver door opens and closes normally!!! that shouldn't have happened! but it did. lisa shouldn't be alive right now but she is. she shouldn;t have legs right now but she does. she should be in a coma atleast, but she's not. God exists and he loves lisa with all His heart, just like he loves you. this isn't a chainletter...i'm not asking you to pass it on. i typed it myself, this is a true story...happened on nov 28th and i saw the photos tonight for the first time. i saw lisa too...her knee was cut up and she had a neckbrace. her speach is alittle fast and confusing from the brain damage but she is expected to recover. infact, from what they tell me, she was much much worse before...she's pretty much lisa again. praise Jesus."
it's so much fun to watch her remember more and more. since she's remembering how things feel and taste it's like she's experiencing things for the first time again...only this time she's mature in the Lord and i hear she bursts into tears of praise when she gets to experience different foods and smells she used to like. she doesn't have amnesia...she just doesn;t remember sensory things. she thinks normally but talks like a child and it makes me praise Jesus when i hear her talk about things in that way. she knows what she means but she can't articulate it. when she was about to show me the pictures of her car she was stuttering and trying to tell me that this is proof that God loves her and was protecting her but instead it came out (after a short struggle) as, "this is how i know God hugs me".
praise Jesus!!!
this person is a miracle
