Went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I have shingles - basically a reoccurance of the chicken pox virus.
It's not pleasant, but also not that bad.
Please pray that I will recover quickly though as some cases are known to last for over a month. In other cases, the virus subsides in a few days.
It's not contageous, so I can still go to work and do most things as normal.
Thanks muchly. Paul

Consider it done. I had a friend with shingles several years ago, as I recall it was very painful.
Yours in Christ,
Melinda

I'm so sorry. Paul. I have had shingles twice, and I know that it is no picnic. You certainly have my prayers that God would give you comfort and cause the symptoms to recede quickly. In Jesus' Name, and to the Glory of God... Matthew (soulfyre)

Hope you have the "few days" version. That's good to hear! I had responded to a post of yours earlier and I was getting worried I might have gotten it. ;D Ron

Brother I will certainly keep you in my prayers. Perhaps you can milk this for a little while, and get lots of time to rest and read...both good for the soul. All kidding aside, I will be praying. Sincerely,
Eric

A big THANK YOU to all of you who were praying for me.
Though I still have signs of the outbreak, my shingles are all but gone.
I would say that the pain/discomfort never got to the point of severe and it was only really bad for a few days in a row.
I think it will totally clear up within a week or so, but as of a few days ago, I feel completely better.
Praise be to our God.
